Since we are Internet Marketers based in Tucson we thought that we would share our networking knowledge and resources with you.

We recognize that in these tough economic times we all need to work together to survive and prosper. TSBNG offers you the opportunity to connect with other area for profit and non profit businesses.

The sites requires active participation to work at its best. You must be active if this site is going to assist you in growing your business. Most of the site is open to the public so not only can you reach members you may also reach non members as well.

This is very important to you as a member. During the first month of operation the site had around 550 visitors. About 70% of those visitors visited another page on the site. These number will likely only increase as the site currently ranks extremely well in the Search Engine Results Pages. We also market the site on a half dozen or so sites that send traffic to the sites. We had 45 visitors from Craigslist in the first month and several of those became members.

Another benefit is that all links no the site are Do Follow. That means that a link on this site to your website may assist you in achieving higher search engine rankings. As for as I can tell we are the only business networking site in Tucson that offers this incentive.

Most social media sites assume that you already know how to use their sites and offer very little in the way of assistance. However, most small business owners have been too busy running their businesses to learn the nuances of social media. So we have outlined some basic instructions on how to use this site you can find them listed below under forums and on video.

I want to personally invite you to join now.

Thanks,
Urban

Sort – The First of the 5S’s

In a nut shell this first step is to sort through and sort out. In this first step a team needs to eliminate all unnecessary items from the work area. Here we look closely at everything we own. As we look at
everything we have to decide if it is “needed” or not. If it is not
needed we remove it from the work area. The question her

The 5 S’s – a Summary

Here is another simple but ever effective tool for improving the way you do business. Many call this a “Lean” tool, which it is, but I like to think of it as a great effective Six Sigma technique that many time needs to be a “Go Do” in areas where things are really cluttered.

What is 5S’s you ask? It is a 5 step process use to arrange work areas to optimize performance and safety. The 5S’s are: Sort, Simplify, Sweep, Standardize and Sustain. These simple fives steps, if done right, ca

Scratch My Back Marketing Explained – The Redux

I have been discussing what I call Scratch My Back Marketing since the beginning of 2009. I figured that it was finally time to write a specific post on the topic. Scratch My Back Marketing is based on a lifestyle and spiritual principal of giving to get. That’s right as in is better to give than receive. Now, I have nothing against receiving especially if it involves material resources such as capital. However, for our purposes I will settle for great comments left on my blog.

Marketing Your Business in a Crazy Mixed Up World!

My first thought about 2010 is - Don't Panic!! As small business owners, we have a tendency to overact to the media and to outside factors that we have no control over. What I do know from my many years in business is that all we have control over is how we choose to conduct ourselves and our business. IdeaMagic had the biggest revenue year ever in 2009. How can that be you ask? I worked harder than I have ever worked and tried to take better care of my clients than anyone else. This is not magi… Continue

Article Review - Where Process-Improvement Projects Go Wrong (WSJ)

Today a friend sent me this article "Where Process-Improvement Projects Go Wrong" from the Wall Street Journal. The author seems to feel that most Lean Six Sigma projects fail, but has some very interesting lessons learned.

I agree with your article when it comes to how weight-loss and Six Sigma fail. They both do fail just like a spring, But I disagree wi… Continue

The Second Step of DMAIC - Measure

Measure is the second step of the Six Sigma five step process DMAIC. The objectives of Measure are two fold. First is, using GEMBA, factually understand the existing process. For those that have not heard of GEMBA it means “go see” and in Six Sigma we use the term to imply that you need to get up and go out to the process that you are going to improve and actually “see” what is really happening. You ca

The Roadmap to a Successful Six Sigma Project

There are a lot of reasons that Six Sigma projects fail but they do not have to IF you can stick to the roadmap. I have done lots of projects most very successful but some have failed. In every case we stepped off of the tried and true path to success, the DMAIC roadmap. As simple and easy as these five steps seem to be, you will many times find them difficult to complete. But if that is happening, my advice to you is to “stay on the path”. Don’t skip a single step. If you stay on the path, y
